And they live happily ever after. Every fairytale ends with that phrase. Since I want this post to begin in that very time where the fairytales ended, I used this phrase as the beginning of this post.
I hate fairytales. Who's with me? Yeah. I hate fairytales because they end right there -right there when everyone's happy, when everything's fine. They end on that very time when the characters are living happily. However, let me make things clear. Let me tell you things I know about fairytales. These are the things fairytales are trying to tell you...
AND THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER:
Yes. This is one of those things you misunderstood about fairytales. Fairytales aren't really trying to make you believe that you can live happily FOREVER. Rather, they're trying to tell you that when you're happy, live with it. You can actually live happily EVER AFTER everything became fine.
WITCH:
The witches aren't really bitches. They are also dreamers, like the princesses. Every girl wants to be a princess but some are too obsessed that they end up being witches.
PRINCESS:
This sweet lady is also a rebel. She always ignore what the elderly told her. She'll do what she wants. But that's the thing. When the princesses risk, they always end up being happy. Making yourself happy is better than making them happy.
PRINCE:
This one's a late comer. He will come when the princess is nearly dying. But that's okay. Better late than never. That's actually the twist of the tale. When you feel like there's no hope, when you think it's the end, that's when a man will come and save you.
You don't really have to understand every single detail of the fairytale just as you don't have to understand every single detail of life but knowing it is better than not knowing it at all.
